What we collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up (via Clerk authentication).
• Pet data: Information you enter about your pets, including names, breeds, health logs, documents, reminders, and related data.
• Beta waitlist: Your email address if you sign up for the beta waitlist.
• Phone number: If you opt into SMS notifications, we collect and verify your phone number.
• Device tokens: Push notification tokens to send you reminders.

How we use your information

• To provide the PawVault service, including storing your pet data, sending reminders, and managing escalation contacts.
• To send you push notifications and/or SMS messages for reminders you've created.
• To send you updates about PawVault if you signed up for the beta waitlist.
• To improve the app based on usage patterns (we do not sell or share your data).

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• We do not share your pet data with anyone unless you explicitly share it (e.g., exporting a PDF to your vet).
• We do not use your data for advertising.

Your rights

• You can delete your pet data, documents, and reminders at any time within the app.
• You can remove your phone number and disable SMS notifications at any time.
• You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• If you signed up for the beta waitlist, you can request removal at any time by contacting us.

Beta program

PawVault is currently in beta. Features may change before the official launch. By participating in the beta, you acknowledge that the service is provided as-is and may contain bugs or incomplete features.

Children's privacy

PawVault is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or via email.
